Torgeir Nærø appointed new CEO of Bergen Group ASA
The Board of Bergen Group ASA has appointed Torgeir Nærø as new CEO of the company with effect as from today, 8 November 2017.
Torgeir Nærø (pictured above) replaces Hans Petter Eikeland who is nominated as the Group's new chairman to be elected at an extraordinary general meeting scheduled for this afternoon.
Torgeir Nærø (51) comes from a position as CEO of the wholly owned subsidiary Bergen Group AAK. Nærø has an extensive and diverse experience from management positions in various industrial companies, including CEO of CMR Gexcon AS, partner of Idevekst Energi AS and the last five years as CEO in Bergen Group AAK (formerly AAK Energy Services). Nærø also has wide experience from different board positions in various onshore and offshore consultancy and industrial companies in the western part of Norway.

The nominated new Chairman of the Board, Hans Petter Eikeland, is pleased that the Board has appointed Torgeir Nærø to take over the role as CEO of Bergen Group ASA.

The new CEO of Bergen Group ASA has a MSc degree from NHH (Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration), and a BSc degree in Marine Engineering from Bergen University College. Nærø is a resident of Bergen.
Bergen Group ASA is an industrial group based in Western part of Norway and a well-established supplier of products and services to the areas of Energy & Industry, Maritime, Defence and Access Technology. The operations within the respective business areas are based on an extensive expertise and comprehensive experience. The operational activity is taking place in the wholly owned subsidiaries Bergen Group Services AS and Bergen Group AAK AS (formerly AAK Energy Services AS). The group has more than 200 employees.
